A community strategy specialist, with particular focus on public/third sector and social enterprise, Jag Goraya looks after the technology community in Sheffield. As Programme Manager at the GIST Foundation he curates a broader and growing portfolio of in-real-life and online collaborative learning and sharing projects while managing the GIST Lab, South Yorkshire’s original technology community collaboration centre. He has deep and practical experience of using web technologies to nurture communities and unlock, capture and share their tacit knowledge.
His work harnesses open source collaboration platforms and facilitation techniques to bring people, processes and technology together. Jag’s background is in user-focussed product and service design, software delivery and operations management. He has broad cross-sector business analysis and programme management experience, with emphasis on technology innovation, service development and cultural change projects.
